Alongside realisation for others, Jakob Hütter shows his own and collaborative artistic works — generative, interactive, and developed out of his academic background in Digital Art (University of Applied Arts Vienna). Here he is the author or co-author.

Site Inflexion — Ars Electronica (2020)

Site Inflexion, eine Fulldome-Installation der Gruppe kondition pluriel (künstlerische Leitung Martin Kusch), lief beim Ars Electronica Festival 2020 „In Kepler’s Gardens“ am JKU-Campus Linz: ein laser-gescanntes Gelände, in dem akustische Parameter zu visuellen Verzerrungen werden. Jakob Hütter war für Image Realization und Post-Production zuständig (mit Marian Essl, Johannes Hucek).

Site Inflexion — Ars Electronica (2020)

Site Inflexion, a fulldome installation by the group kondition pluriel (artistic direction Martin Kusch), ran at the Ars Electronica Festival 2020 „In Kepler’s Gardens“ on the JKU campus in Linz: a laser-scanned terrain in which acoustic parameters become visual distortions. Jakob Hütter was responsible for image realisation and post-production (with Marian Essl, Johannes Hucek).

Synthetic Climate & Remote Sandbox (2020)

Synthetic Climate ist eine kollektive audiovisuelle Arbeit: Performer:innen steuern getrennt voneinander eine virtuelle Klangumgebung, aus der in TouchDesigner eine wetterartige visuelle Partitur entsteht. In der Installationsfassung Remote Sandbox setzte Jakob Hütter aufgezeichnete Maschinen- und Live-Daten in höherer Auflösung über fünf bis sechs Screens neu — gezeigt u. a. im Schauraum der Angewandten, in der Seestadt und auf der Parallel 2020.

Synthetic Climate & Remote Sandbox (2020)

Synthetic Climate is a collective audiovisual work: performers each control a virtual sound environment from which a weather-like visual score is generated in TouchDesigner. In the installation version Remote Sandbox, Jakob Hütter re-staged recorded machine and live data in higher resolution across five to six screens — shown at the Schauraum of the Angewandte, in the Seestadt and at Parallel 2020.

AI Hallucination — Aveiro & Angewandte Festival (2022)

Für die Criatech 2022 in Aveiro und das Angewandte Festival entwickelte Jakob Hütter mit Peter Varnai eine interaktive Arbeit auf Basis einer KI-Halluzination: Varnai modellierte und animierte die Figur, Hütter überführte sie in TouchDesigner in ein virtuelles Environment und machte sie über eine Kinect lebendig — die Figur reagiert auf Annäherung, wächst und verändert die Perspektive.

AI Hallucination — Aveiro & Angewandte Festival (2022)

For Criatech 2022 in Aveiro and the Angewandte Festival, Jakob Hütter developed an interactive work with Peter Varnai based on an AI hallucination: Varnai modelled and animated the figure, Hütter brought it into a virtual environment in TouchDesigner and made it come alive via a Kinect — the figure responds to approach, grows and shifts the perspective.

Dazu kommen die Diplomarbeit Anima PSK (Digitale Kunst, Angewandte; Galerie Krinzinger) und die begehbaren Online-Räume Rote Alpen / Mozilla Hubs — eine WebXR-Retrospektive, die während der Pandemie aus dem Anima-Umfeld entstand.
