Für die belgische Ausgabe von Red Bull Back2Beyond in der Eskimofabriek in Gent (7. Dezember 2024) entwickelte Jakob Hütter — gemeinsam mit Jascha Süss und Lucas Dikany — das generative Echtzeit-Visualsetup und das LED-Ring-Konzept. Das Format stellt drei DJ-Booths kreisförmig um die Tanzfläche; das Publikum steht dazwischen, die Acts spielen back-to-back.
Über jedem Booth hing ein See-through-LED-Ring; alle drei wurden spiegelgleich angesteuert. Das Bildmaterial wurde vollständig generativ und audioreaktiv in TouchDesigner erzeugt und in Echtzeit gerendert, auf zwei zu einem Server zusammengefassten RTX-4090-Mini-PCs. Als Preset-Manager kam ZERROR (404 ZERO) zum Einsatz.
Der Auftrag erging von Red Bull an Jascha Süss (Lead Artist). Jakob Hütter setzte den überwiegenden Teil des Projekts um und betreute die Performance vor Ort gemeinsam mit Lucas Dikany.
For the Belgian edition of Red Bull Back2Beyond at the Eskimofabriek in Gent (7 December 2024), Jakob Hütter developed the generative real-time visual setup and the LED-ring concept together with Jascha Süss and Lucas Dikany. The format arranges three DJ booths in a circle around the dance floor, the audience in between, the acts playing back-to-back.
A see-through LED ring hung above each booth; all three were driven in mirror sync. The imagery was generated entirely and audio-reactively in TouchDesigner and rendered in real time on two RTX 4090 mini-PCs combined into a single server. ZERROR (404 ZERO) was used as the preset manager.
The project was commissioned by Red Bull to Jascha Süss (lead artist). Jakob Hütter delivered the majority of the implementation and ran the performance on site together with Lucas Dikany.
